Jeff,

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I have owned both, can say that the
aftermarkets are thinner, so do not fit the seal as well. They also are
more easily damaged by flying debris. 500 is a high price for a carlite,
shop around. How long do you plan to keep the car? If the car is a keeper,
the better windshiled makes sense. How much will your insurance pay?
