Hi gang,

My 65 2+2 (289 2V) has recently been exhibiting white smoke from the tailpipes, but only
upon startup - no smoke after that thought. It's not a huge amount, but enough so that I
can see it in the rear view mirror... Not too thick, not too thin either. Doesn't really smell of
anything either... Any ideas what this can be? Too much water? Cracked cylinder head
gasket?

Thanks,
.rickt

Do you get little drops of water on the ground near your exhaust?
Because I have the same motor in my 66 and the same problem, I think
its only water condensation in the tailpipes thou and nothing to worry
about. It only happens to my car on the first start of the day for me
while the engine and exhaust are warming up.
