I have a 72 Mustang parts car I just got and it has a 351C 2V
motor...but I have no idea what tranny is behind it.
The door code is irrelevant because it is not the original door. What's
the easiest way to tell them apart?

It's problemly a FMX. One way to tell is, If the bell housing is a cast part
of the trans, its a c6. If the bell housing is sperate, and the trans case is
cast iron, it's a fmx. If the bell housing is sperate, and the trans case is
alloy, then it's a c4. Hope this helps.
