Yep, have used them both in the same car. The 40 below was somewhere around
$25 a can (pint?) and if the directions were followed would take 2 cans to
work the best. I used one can and it marginally improved (i.e., lowered)
the water temp with a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze. I don't know how
many degrees cause my 70 Mach's temp gauge doesn't have numbers. I never
checked with a thermometer. It did help decrease some of the pinging while
hot.

The water wetter was #8 a bottle (also around a pint). I used one bottle
with a mix of 80% water and 20% anti-freeze. It lowered the temp on the
gauge and controlled the pinging a lot better than the 40 Below did. So my
recommendation is for the Water Wetter.

BTW, I live in the Phoenix area and almost everybody's vintage mustang runs
"fairly warm" at least. With a second car, I ran nothing but distilled
water and one bottle of water wetter during an open track session on a
100-degree plus day. Got warm, but not hot and no pinging.

Hope this helps,
Ron Columbo
