Well after a little research, I've decided to narrow my choice down to
a 67 or 68 Mustang Fastback.

Preferably I would like a 67 Fastback S-Code because of the 390
combined with a 4 speed manual transmission, but will consider any 67 or
68 with a 4 speed manual. How rare is the 67 Fastback S-Code? I'm not
looking for a GT or GT replica so I'm guessing that increases my chances
slightly? This is going to be a second car with plenty of care, but
will have daily driving duties occasionally during good weather. I am
looking for something between good and excellent condition (B or C
rating per 67 Mustang S-Code registry website). Speaking of that web
site, I can't post on their webboard... :-(

Well if anyone on the list happens to have one they may want to sell in
the months to come, let me know. I am willing to travel for a good buy.

Welp, I'm off to the book store to read up some more! ;-)

Not really rare. Normally the first year of a body style and engine
type the sales are high its the second year of each (ex 66, 68 and 70,
72-73) are the years of low producton for these things. A manual trans
will be the more difficult requests.

have survived the years.

I would guess from the prices we see that your looking at a car that
could range fro $3000-8000 depending on the deal you find.
