Hi,
I have a 64 1/2 and it's very simple:
If it has a generator it's a 64 1/2, if it has an alternator it's a 65. It's
unlikely one would be switched for the other, as it would require replacement
of most of the wiring harnesses.
Many other electrical components such as parking lamp assemblies & headlamp
switch as well.
