I know that this question is not Mustang related, but it is Ford truck
related. I'll keep it brief, and please e-mail me offline as not to
take up space here.

I have a 1990 F150 with the 5.8 L. It has 51k miles logged in. After
it warms up, it has a little tapping noise. I know that the lifters is
not adjustable. Does anyone have any ideas of how to quiet it up.

Thanx,

-Chuck

Try these 2 things. Go to a straight 30 weight oil (if conditions
permit). Or try using some Marvel Mystery Oil in crankcase. The latter
worked for me on my '75 Cadillac with (500 ci) noisy lifters...
