To all you folks who have done the Tremec (3550 or TKO) swap:

OK, I am just confirming some stuff. My car should be getting back
from the body shop in the next couple of days, and I think UPS may
deliver my TKO swap kit from Dark Horse today. I am scheduled to go
to the track on Feb. 6, so I want to get the old tranny swapped out
and the new one in by then. I have the adaptor plate, the new
crossmember, the transmission, shifter and knob in the kit I am
buying from Dark Horse. I think that the driveshaft is going to have
to be shortened, am I correct?

Are there any gotchas that are going to prevent me from doing this
over a weekend and being at the track the next Saturday?

Many thanks to all.

David

Only one thing to add:

Yes you do need your driveshaft shortened.

Good luck
