Hi all,
Does anyone know where I could buy some-touch up paint for my 69? I need
just a little bottle for rock chips etc.
The color is Gulfstream Aqua.
My car was painted over 5 years ago and I have touched it up a couple of
times in the past. A few days ago I opened up the paint that I had saved
from the paint job and it has dried up and has the consistency of jello. I
tried mixing paint thinner with it but it is no use.
All the local auto body supply stores refuse to mix less than a quart.
Does anyone know of a source or does anyone have a little bit out in the
garage that they might sell to me? When I had it painted I went with the
original color, but had it done in a urethane base/clear coat. I would
take anything, urethane, enamel, whatever kind you have as long as it is
the right color. I know the different type paints might not blend in
perfectly, but anything is better than bare metal or the red primer that is
under the paint.
Thanks in advance.

David,
I don't know any place that sells the actual old colors in touch up. I had a
70 coupe painted Gulfstream Aqua and when my paint had dried up, I just found
the closest thing possible that out there. I'm sorry I no longer have the car
and don't remember the paint number, though it's still my favorite color.
Good luck.

> David,
I had the same problem w/ my 66' coupe (springtime yellow). I would suggest going to a
painter that speciallizes in painting Mustangs. You can see if they have anything that
matches. You might also ask if they will save you some paint from the next car they
spray.
