Thanks to all who responded. Just a few points..

1) My friend with the dual setup on a VW, is a mechanic and the VW bug
is a E-modified autocrosser, i.e. race-only. He generally runs in the
top 3 in his class and he did not have to re-tune the carbs or has ever
worked on them, other than synchronize.

2) Holley carbs are great race carbs, but my Shelby currently has a 750
Edelebrock. My Boss 302 had a Holley, as did the Shelby, and as a street
carb, I don't like them (just my opiion).

3) As I wrote before, I do like to tinker, and an afternoon playing with
a full Weber setup is appealing to me, however I stop as far as points
go, the Shelby has a Unilite.

4) I know it is not a straight bolt on, I just finshed putting a Holley
Blue electric fuel pump on and had to fabricate brackets, new fuel line
etc., so that is not a problem.

So what is my decision? As soon as I have the cash, the Webers will be
on the car. Until then, the Edelebrock will have to do. Thanks again,
it's been interesting.
