Are you planning on new wheels as well? You can do a lot with rear spacing on the wheel.

I HAVE A 67 COUPE WITH 275/60/15 ON 15X7 WELD WHEELS WITH 4.5
BACKSPACING---MY WHEEL WELL IS ROLLED THOUGH. LOOKS GREAT AND DOESN'T RUB.
PROBABLY CAN GET AWAY WITH 5.5 BACKSPACING AND NO ROLL BUT I AM NOT POSITIVE.
