I just bought Torque Thrust D's, they are 14x6 with 3 1/8" backspacing (I
think). The stock styled steel wheels are 14x5 with 4 1/16" backspacing.

Can I mount 225 60 R14's on the new rims without any problems ie. Rubbing,
steering etc.? If not does anyone know from experience, what's the
largest/widest tire I can mount on these rims, w/o any suspension mods?

Also, what exactly is backspacing smiling smiley

Thanks in advance

DAVE

I ran 205/60x15 on Torque D's 7 inch (front) and 225/60x15''s 8 inch (rear)
on my 65. If I hit some rough road in a turn I might have some rubbing, but
once aware I just took it easy on the turns. I believe most backspacing is 3
and 3/4.
