>>> 235 is already too big for 6" rims. Sorry guy!
>> Actually, I got 235 60 14 on the back, with 195 60 14 on the front.

Sorry, Robb. Was gittin' late and I got lazy with the explanation.
I didn't mean you couldn't use 235 tires on 6" rims, just that it's not
a really good idea, especially for a performance car. IMHO of course! ;-)
You, or someone, mentioned using 235's on 6" rims and having it be kinda
unstable at speed. That's exactly what I was referring to.
A wide tire on too narrow a rim takes support away from the sidewall and
lets it 'wobble' on the rim. If you put enough air pressure in it to
compensate for the sidewall wobble, you'll bulge the center of the tread
slightly and cause it to wear faster there.
With softer air pressure the wobble will get worse.
Different brands/models of tire will be different too. I have Goodrich
TA/VR4's size 225/60 on 15x7" wheels and really hate 'em they wobble so bad.
Before that I had Goodyear Gatorbacks in the same size and they were fine.
Even Ford only put a 225 width tire on the 7" 5.0 Mustang rims, and Ford
is notorious for using skinny wheels.
