OK everyone... I just got back from Pomona, and got a set of tires and
rims I liked. Not Torq-Thrusts, but hey... $50!!! Anyways, they are
14x6, and I have a 68 mustang. I was thinking 235's in the back, and
195's in the front. Is this OK? Can I go bigger in the back? How big
can I go without problems in the front? Please reply direct to me, as I
want to try and get these on tonight!

Hi Rob,
Its a tight fit but on my 1967 convertible with 14x6 rims I have a set of BF
Goodrich Radial T/As that are 245/60 14 on the back and 225/60 14 on the
front. The car is lowered about 1.25 inch so the fronts fill the wheel well.
My only dislike is that the sidewall of the Radial T/As are a little soft so
the car gets squirrely at (much) higher speeds.
Congrats on finding the wheels. Best Regards,
Craig

I can't believe someone actually got a buy @ Pomona. I was there also & it
seems that everything has what I call "the Pomona markup". It's kind of
funny to see vendors who hawk their goods at higher prices than what I can
get from the local Mustang shop. DOH!
Even worse are the prices for the ratty cars. Although some are pretty
nice...but their price also reflects it too.
Whew, got that off my chest.

Pomona prices have increases as its popularity has grown and the number
of buyers from out side the area (and country) has increased IMHO
Not really a surprise....... just keep them and the high prices down
your way
