I set pressures according to tire footprint (contact area). Oversimplified - any means of seeing the footprint and adjusting until it is about full tread width is fine. I commonly use a dusty concrete surface (flat & smooth, like a gas station apron) and read the contact area on the tire, or wet the tire and read contact from the pavement and tire after rolling forward, etc. You can get creative in your methods and have fun with it. The pressures will likely all be slightly different when you're done, but tire wear and traction should be nearly optimal for daily driving.
FWIW,
David M.
