Well, it happened again. I was sitting in stop and go traffic in the rain
on the highway, and BAM, a Dodge Durango rear ended me.
My Mustang burst into flames as gasoline poured... Just kidding (you guys
can take a joke, right?!).
It felt like she hit me pretty hard, but after getting out I saw that very
little damage had been done to either of our vehicles. Our vehicles hit
bumper to bumper, so on my car only my bumper was bent, and that only
slightly.
So I need a new bumper, but I'm tired of getting bad chrome. Does anyone
know a place that sells good quality chrome bumpers for my daily driver '68?
My old one was rechromed only two years ago (when I last got rear ended!)
and it's already starting to rust through slightly.
Does anyone know a place that has a lifetime warrantee or at least triple
chrome plated bumpers? Has anyone bought a bumper from a place and it
hasn't pitted, rusted, or flaked in daily driving?
Thanks!

Keven, sorry to hear about that.
I got my bumpers from CJ's several years ago. They look excellent,
I'm very happy w/ them. I believe they had gold colored decal
on the inside that said they were made by 'Nordon' or 'Norton'?????

I seem to recall an article in one of the 'Stang rags comparing NOS bumpers
against the Nordon produced ones, and the NOS came up short. The Nordon
chrome quality was supposed to be better. Sorry, I can't remember which rag
or when.
I haven't purchased one, but NPD does sell them. They specifically say they
are Nordon. 77.95 FWIW, I've had better luck getting parts (price and
delivery) from NPD than from CJ's. Just one mans experience and .02
