There's a guy who occasionally visits our local cruise night with a
pretty nice '68 convertible. He bought the car as it sits and doesn't
seem to know a great deal about cars.

One of the cool things about the car is a very factory-looking roll bar.
It seems to be a standard aftermarket four-point unit, but what makes it
trick is a padded vinyl cover done in the same material as the seats
(dark blue in his case), attached with heavy-duty snaps. I'm pretty
certain the top still functions normally.

If you end up with a roll bar and want it to look somewhat original,
this might be the way to go.
