Jeff:

Could you describe techniques for getting the paint out of the grain? I
presume it must be done with a brush and some type of chemical stripper?

Remember to remove all the paint in the grain before you apply any new
color. This delicate garin fills up quickly and can disappear on you if
your not careful.

I prefer a little paint stripper (follow all those safety rules) on a brass
brush using circular motion to remove all the little bits while not removing
any metal

I second Jeff's recommendation but I have also found
a huge success with the new, nylon, SOS pad look alikes.
Dense nylon, woven tight, scrubs without a scratch smiling smiley Do
not use on anything plastic though, it will scratch!
