Relocation of voltage regulator

It makes sense that the regulator is heating up, anything up front near
the radiator is subject to that. The radiator is hard-mounted to the support, so
the whole front end of the car becomes a big heat sink. I've seen modern
electronic ignition boxes mounted up there, but I have one concern regarding
placing the voltage regulator there: Direct exposure to the weather. If your car
is driven only on sunny days and garaged when not in use, what you suggest
may work just fine. Otherwise, I think I'd leave it where the factory intended.

I move my regulator to the front side of the radiator support in the
FiberFab because fo space (fuel injection tank and larger radiator)
