re brake woes

I haven't been following this thread very close but if you added
front disc brakes, I've read some people have accidently swapped
left to right calipers. This causes the bleeder to be at a difficult
angle to bleed the brakes.
If you just replaced the rear drums and have a long pedal, make sure
you adjusted the parking brake star within each drum. This *will*
seem like a problem.
If you just replaced the MC and forgot to bench bleed it, you can
bench bleed the MC on the car. Go to your favorite auto parts
store and get the MC bleeder kit (two small hoses and some plastic
fittings). Remove the hard lines from the MC, add the bleeder kit,
fill MC and start pumping gently the brakes. Keep the reserviors
filled. I've done this on a few cars (don't ask why).
I haven't used a mini-vac bleeder kit but some trackies use 'em
with success. Something to try.
If you got a 66 Fastback A-code, 4speed, I'll do you a favor and
take it off your hands. Getting the brakes to work might not be
worth the effort ;-).
