'66 Fastback...
Presumably I can raise the driver's seat by just backing off the bolts
through the floor and inserting blocks of some sort. Sounds simple.
Does anyone have any elegant suggestions??

Yes...I had the same problem. (height 5ft 7"
If you have the
original seat buns, then change them.
I was driving around for ages not being able to see over the hood
(restricted view) and after replacing the interior, boy! what a
difference. It nust have added about three inches of height to the
seat along with being a much more comfortable ride.
Any input from anyone else who noticed this would be appreciated.
