Ive just completed this conversion on a 70. Basically you pull the old slip
shaft out and just insert the new one. The entire conversion is reversable.

I'm very satisfied with the conversion, especially now that I have got the
rack mounted on "short" mounts as this removed the bump steer which was
evident with the longer big block mounts.
