hi guys,
i have been working 7 days a week getting remodeling house
for move in. but I have managed to wrangle some roundtoits and
moved forward a bit. my apologies to those of you who have
written me and not received a direct reply. now that the house
will be finished soon, the R&P project will be my #1 priority.
MY INSTALLATION: i had to modify the drivers side bracket to
make the rack pinion more vertical. i had some binding in the
u-joints with the original configuration. with the tie rods and
center link installed it became clear that i need to add an adapter
to the spacer. i'm going to make the new spacer out of aluminum,
with a triangular steel plate to weld to the center link. pictures and
updated drawings this weekend for sure.
RANDY: a very smart man, took the ideas from my website and
used them to do an excellent installation in his '65. he won't reveal
everything yet, but he has made the conversion for early Mustangs
very cool. he should be sending me detailed pictures soon.
this gentlemen is very, very good.
SPEED DIRECT : i am in the final negotiations with Eric from
SpeedDirect to produce the kit. they are the people that make
the Seeroids R&P conversions for Camaro's and 'Vette's. they
like my designs and have been looking for an excuse to get
into the Ford market. i think we'll end up with a specific kit for the
early Mustang, and a generic kit for the rest of the '60's Fords.
check them out, look familiar?

there's lot's of good stuff in there.

generic kit will fit most models.
