Neil, I guess now would be a good time for me to post part 2 since I finally
received the remaining part from my order. The story goes like this:
In mid March I placed my first and last order with Perogie..$2000
transmission swap kit. Everything was in stock, and it was agreed that they
would bring everything to the Columbus Swap so that I could pick it up in
person on April 1. My credit card was charged in full by late March,
however when I met them in Columbus, several key components were missing,
and all they could tell me is that they "forgot". In anticipation, my 68
was already on jackstands, old tranny out, waiting for the conversion. They
signed a receipt saying that they owed me the parts and I went on my way.
Well, I thought for sure that this oversite would get some priority on
Perogies end, especially since prior to them billing my credit card all of
my emails and phone messages were returned very promptly. Boy was I wrong.
Unanswered email and phone messages throughout the month of April. When I
did get someone on the phone I would get something like this: "The owners
not in and I'm just the phone guy and I can't help you with your
problem...call back next week." Then I got "Sorry about the mix up ,I'll
make sure your driveshaft ships out right away".....I call back a week later
after not receiving it and was told it never shipped and the guy I talked to
isn't in. My favorite one however was near the first part of May..."I'm
extremly unhappy with Perogie and you have promised me shipment of this
driveshaft twice over the last 3 weeks...I want to talk to the owner...Well
the owner is not in today...I'm not getting off this phone until this
problem is resolved..ok hold on.........Hi this is the owner, can I help
you?
The bottom line: Order was placed mid March, final part received on MAY 5.
I spent $$$ calling them throughout April and May on their non toll free
phone number. Never once recieved a call from them during this entire
fiasco. Car was on jackstands for 5 weeks when it should have been a 4 day
project. I was strung along and lied to.
NEVER AGAIN.
