Can anyone tell me a little about this part: Offenhauser alum. intake for
65-66 six-cylinder,series C casting #5999
I have heard a little about after-market items for 6 cyl. Engines but would
like to know a little more.
Thanks

Jim,
I think you will find all you need to know on the Clifford web page:
www.cliffordperformance.com
This is a candystore for any 6 cyl owner. Im sure if you email them with
the part numbeer they should know exactly what you are talking about. And
if you dont have their catalog, I sugest you pick one up. It contains just
about everything you can find today for the 6.

I don't know about the particular part number, but someone on the
Fordnatics list has put a triple carb intake on a Falcon with a 200 cid six
cylinder. There are some pictures (but no information) at
sierrafalcons.com/Billy-Engine/ or you could look through the
Fordnatics archives on listquest.com. Look for "Max Inux" and/or "William
Tiemann".
The Clifford catalog I have is a couple years old and the part numbers
don't look anything like #5999. Since the intake manifold is cast into the
head on these, the triple intake required drilling into the manifold, but I
guess it works well enough for Offenhauser to keep making them.
