I'm a first-time Mustang owner and have a 1967 coupe w/289 4-speed, which I discovered in a garage in Boston.

The car has had extensive restoration done to it, but the owners got in over their heads, financially speaking, so it sat for another 9 years in storage.

I drained all of the fluids, (differential included) changed all filters and the car started right up! The tires were badly cracked from dry rot, so they were replaced as well.

Now, I need a good parts source for miscellaneous interior items, exterior molding and outer emblems.

Has anyone got a few places they can recommend?

Dave

Also,

Mustangs Plus
National Parts Depot
Sacramento Mustang
Larry's Mustang and Thunderbird

If you do a search on Google or anywhere and type in "Mustang restoration
parts" you'll get a million hits. Try to find one near your home where you
can make friends with the counter people. That can go a long way when
you're in a pinch or need advice.

Congrats on your new purchase and easy start-up! There are a lot of nice
people on this list that can give you assistance with your project.

Scott

Well for New parts I would start with Nationals Parts Depot
and see what they have that you need. You can get a FREE catalog
from them I believe at their web site. Not sure of the site
address right now but it is something like

npd.com or something.

Now for Used Parts there are many places, the best way to find
them is to pick up a Mustang Monthly and check out the vendors
section. I would also pick up a Hemmings Motor News and see what
they have that your looking for. And lastly there is always the
ever popular ebay where you can pick parts up for next to nothing
or 20 times what it is worth depending on your timing.

Welcome to the world of Mustangs.

Linc

P.S. I have to say, I think you got the best year too, but then
I could be bias.

Melvin's Classic Ford Parts in Conyers, GA. This guy has a lot of hard to find parts for just about any mustang. It is family owned and ran. The GT350 that is on his web page sits in his store. Awesome car.

Here is the link
