Mail From: Joe.Baker (Joe Baker)
On my '66 coupe (and I assume any other '64-'66) there's a little
bracket that attaches to the front frame rail. The back end of the
strut bracket is attached to it (the other end of the strut bracket
attaching to the front cross member). I've got a new strut bracket,
but I can't seem to find that little bracket that it attaches to.
My old strut bracket is badly bent, and the mystery bracket is
somewhat deformed as well. It could PROBABLY be straightened, but
I'd rather replace it and not have to worry about stress cracks.
I've gone through CJPony's catalog and don't see this little guy,
but I may be overlooking it.
Any help is appreciated.

I doubt you'll find that in any catalog. It's what the sway bar bolts
to. Your best bet is to either have one made (they're pretty simple) or
have one cut off & rewelded from a donor car.

That's for the front swaybar. There is one on each side.

Chances are very good that if you bent you old one back it would be
fine. The mild steel they use for the frame is very malleable. If it
failed, it wouldn't be catastrophic, it would simply rattle until you
fixed it (since the other one would still be attached).
If I were you, I'd just bend it back. The only important thing about
this is that is provides sufficient up/down stiffness for the sway bar.
