I just found out my Shelby Mustang has been chosen by the New York
Times to be one of 30 finalists in the New York Times 2008
Collectible Car of the Year Contest!
it's a public vote thing so Please go to web page above and vote for
my Shelby if you think it's deserving. You can vote once a day
I just can't believe out of 100's of cars they picked the GT-350 as a
finalist. It's not a show car by any standard, so I'm just floored at
being selected, and proud to be the only Mustang to be chosen as a
finalist.

Last year a Triumph TR-3 won, so anything goes I guess. There are 4
Ford made cars so my favorite make is fairly well represented, but I'd
think there would be at least 2 or 3 Mustangs, and Corvette as well.
But no, they left it to me be the standard bearer for the millions &
millions of Mustangs made (and loved).

Yes the paint is original. And if you get closer than 30 feet, it shows
it's age. Millions of paint chips
& door dings, etc. If you look at the photo of the hood area, you can
see the black gel coat of the fiberglass showing through the paint !
