Hello all,
I apologize for the multiple post, but I think I remember a
discussion of vehicle weight taking place on both lists in the past. My
'67 Mustang coupe, 289 4v, equipped with toploader 4sp, factory in dash
AC, PS, '65 styled steel wheels (wider than stock), full size styled steel
spare wheel/tire in trunk, toolbox, jack, about 1/4 tank of gas, all steel
body (no fiberglass hood etc.) plus my brother and I (totaling approx
280lbs) just weighed in at 3080 lbs. I figure this might help some of you
out. It certainly surprised me. I expected something about 200-300 lbs
heavier.

If you are disappointed with the total combined weight you could try to eat
some junk food.
My girlfriend and I have done this and have raised the loaded weight of my
mustang some 50 lbs.
HEE HEE HEE HEE HEE HEE
The extra padding on our rumps makes for a smoother ride. There is a down
side. We have been told
that the rear end tends to shimmy to much.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
