Just reading September's Mustang Illustrated and the article of Baer brake
system. The '65 test car had 17" wheels (looked pretty bad) and I wanted
to ask if anyone knows if they would work with the custom sized 15x7
styled steel wheels. The article said the correct backspacing is required
and I wasn't sure about that.
Their car's braking distance improved from 195 feet to 137 with the 4
disc brakes! Sounds like a sweet package.
The suspension article was rather disappointing...Few details and no
prices. Has anyone investigated this further?
Thanks
Todd

I'm currently using 13" rotors and Corvette PBR calipers in the nose of
my '65. They barely clear my 15 x 7 Torque-Thrust D spokes, and they work
great, other than wiping the balance weights off the wheel all the time!
Ask Baer about the package they have for this combo. I'd bet the 12"
rotors would be just fine too.

Night and day difference, and I just have the fronts!

Just replicate the Shelby mods and use poly bushings; go for KYBs unless
you don't want ride harshness, then I'd say GR2s. Made mine work great.
