Ok...I've got to vent here. I've just read the latest issue on the train
ride home.
It used to take the entire 60+ minute commute, now its taking half that.

Here's a national magazine, whose 'feature' articles are:

A nice 70 Mach1, whose claim to fame is it's original paint and it's rebuilt
351W and FMX,
Cragar SS wheels and off-brand tires.

A cheap rehase of 'First Mustang' articles. Building, then buying. Maybe the
editors should have reversed the order? Anybody notice the first article,
pg. 27 says that the best resto-mod car is a 6-cyl coupe, which make great V-8
conversions. Then turn to pg 35 in the next article, and they say 6-cyl
conversions are alot of work (which they can be) and almost not worth the
effort. Hows that for consistency.

Do I really need to know that deep oil-pans can have clearance problems, or
that a 4 Weber set-up is not the best for cruising.

Nice fake GT-350...A re-print of the Eastwood home powder-coating
advertisment...oops...I mean article from last months Mustang Monthly.

What's this...a 'real' car. An original (almost) 427 Fairlane. What's that
doing here?

How to do a brake job!!!!???? More parts buyer's guides!!!???

I like ALL Ford's, even resto-mods, but at least give us something different,
unique, outstanding, rare. No offence, but the cover car...a nice car...but
for the cover and feature?

Off the soapbox...deep breath...AHHhhhhhh....I'm alright now.

I apologize in advance if I offended anybody.

Jim K.

[snip of rant]

I know how just how you feel, Jim. And my money
says it's only going to get worse now that Dobbs
is out of the running...not that they were doing
much, but at least it was competition.
