Hello,

My Lakewood bellhousing for use on my 302 says in the instructions that you
must check the run out of the flywheel against the center hole in the
bellhousing. I understand what this means and that you need to use special
offset dowles to correct the alignment if it is out. My question is how
critical is this and have people fitted these bellhousings and not bothered to
check this. If this is something that must be done then I will check it. I don't
have a dial gauge at the moment, but I guess one will come in handy for other
things as well.

My block is a 1969 vintage.

Thanks.
