Hello all,
I'm sure this question has been answer thouthands of times. So excuse me if
waste some bandwidth. So please point me to a place where i could find some
info.
I'm in the process of getting ready to rebuilt my 302 (for a '66 coupe). I
almost have all the bucks necessary. I'd like to have the engine modified
for it to run unleaded gaz (i'll soon be impossible to find some leaded in
France - actually beginning of 2000).
What are the modifications that need to be done (engine, exhaust, carb,
ignition, coolong syst, ....) ? What should i look for (special tricky
stuff to know) ?
Also, i saw a post about retractible 3-points shoulder harness. I found a
two-points one in a junkyard in a '66 (?) cougar. The problem is that the
reel doesn't fit between the sit and the body (unless you're _realy_ short,
which is definitely not my case) if i try to use the regular hole. Any
advice on how to adapt this ? Lap belt really don't make me confortable ...
Is there systematically a hole by the car's ceiling to fit the shoulder
belt ? The ceiling cover is in perfect condition and i can't see the hole.
I wouldn't like to damage this cover.

Just keep the compression to 9.5:1 max and have
hardened valve seats installed in the heads.
That's about it...
Actually, with my 289 heads, at 10.6:1 and a slight
retard of the timing I had no "pinging", unless of
course I really jumped on it.
