While checking the fluids prior to some weekend driving this morning I
noticed a ground strap on my '66 289 with C4 is loose at one end. The ground
strap is attached to the block right next to the transmission fluid fill
tube/dipstick. The other end has a ring terminal on it but isn't attached to
anything. Does this go to the nearby brake line anchor which is screwed to
the firewall? Not to long ago I did the dual chamber master cylinder
conversion and replaced the front brake tubing. I'm thinking maybe I missed
this when finishing up the job.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,

My ground strap attaches directly to the firewall right behind the engine.
I don't think it makes much difference where you attach it as long as it's a
solid connection to the frame/chassis. The brake line anchor would probably
work just fine.
