I will be replacing the inner fender walls of my '65, but know that
there is a flat portion on the top of the fender (which accomodates the
folded top).
Is there such a replacement part called a convertible inner fender? If
so, any idea who carries such a thing (my search isn't very successful)?
It kind of looks as though the area was just flattened after the fact.
Could this be true?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bri...

It sounds like you're describing the inner wheelhouse. As far as I know,
there isn't a reproduction part for it yet. There was an article in one
of the rags that showed how to modify a coupe/fastback version of it.
You basically cut a section off and then weld a flat piece in place.
If you're interested, I'll try to dig up the information.
