Congratulations!

When I was looking, the local supr shops said that there was a supercomp header
designed for dart heads and a '67-'68 stang. I bought them. I tried them, but
they didn't fit either. I called Hooker, and the engineer said they wouldn't
fit and that they had planned on making a header for that, but they hadn't yet.
That was four years ago, maybe the new one is what you got.

Maybe the first set I got was for the Windsor Sr. and didn't fit with my
Windsor Jr. heads. Maybe they just fixed the design. Maybe Dart changed the
spark plug angle, as that was the only problem to begin with. Great either
way!

I like Hooker, but the supercomps are a bit expensive for me, especially when I
think about the fact that they are thinner than my standard hookers. I hope
they last as well. They are lighter though, and if they last as long as my
standard headers, that will be great.

It may be a little late, but I would recommend painting them with some VHT
paint (very high temp, it's also a brand) or (even better) Eastwoods stainless
paint before installing them. The black coating Hooker puts on wears off
quickly and it will get rusty. Rust is the killer of headers, and very high
speed bumps, and dirt (if you get high centered backing out of a driveway in
hickville).

I'm glad it worked out for you though!

Nope, Dart kept that wierd angle which causes so many problems.

I got them ceramic coated from Hooker. Not only do they look
absolutely beautiful, but it should protect them from the elements as
well. Well worth the extra $200 IMHO.
