I put Dart Heads on my 302 in my 69 Sportsroof. They work pretty well
but clearance is tight between the spark plug wires and the driver's
side header (mine are Hooker). Does anyone know of a header which will
provide more clearance with the Dart Heads? Thanks.

Dave,
If your spark plugs fit in the spark plug hole at all you are increadibly
lucky! I have a '68 coupe, and mine didn't. I looked for headers everywhere.
Hooker super comp headers were supposed to fit, but didn't. I think Mac had
some for other years, but not mine. Tri-y's didn't fit. Nothing fit.
I called a Hooker engineer and he said they were planning on making some that
would fit, but hadn't yet. Maybe by now they have. You should call them.
I ended up using two 5/8" thick spacer plates and spacing my headers out from
the engine about 1.2"! If you want additional clearance you could try that. I
called a custom header place here in town, and he sold me the spacer plates
that I port mached to my heads for $30/a piece. They haven't leaked for two
years:-)
It held up my project for about a month, and that is my only driver car! It is
far from a bolt on!
Good luck!
Best Regards,
Keven Coates
