I've got a 65 that was put together in san jose, and was left in the back of
a church for a while and then stored in a buddy of mines garage for the last
8 years. So far the only rust I've found was in the trunk compartment where
the two drain plugs were and down on either rear quarter panel there were
rust specs, with the left side having a couple of pin size holes evident.
I would like to take it in and get the whole car sandblasted and primered at
least perhaps painted. Does anyone have any shop recommendations or info on
general prices for this kind of work? Thanks in advance.
Gene

Hi Gene,
I had my '65 fastback plastic blasted at the Crown Chevrolet body shop in
Dublin. It was about $650 (three years ago) to do the exterior, engine
compartment, and trunk area. They do good work and I'd recommend them.
Thanks,
Matt

I also used crown in dublin to blast my Sunbeam Tiger last January. I
understand there is a new place in livermore too. Email me offline and I
will get you their number if you are interested
