The correct socket for the mushroom oil sending unit is 26mm. Don't
pay some auto parts store $10 for a ``sending unit socket", or attempt
to remove it with a "shimmed" 1 1/8 or whatever I tried 3 years ago.
26mm fits like a dream.

Anyone need a slightly used idiot light sending unit?
