I been sitting on a C4 tranny for about a year. I pulled it out of my 68
Fastback when I converted to 4-speed last year. I've had it in the local parts
rag on and off with no offers. If anyone wants to come and haul it away, be my
guest. If no takers, I guess it will just have to sit there till someone wants
it.
It's a 1971 (I think?) C4 with a B&M shift kit, Stock converter. Needs a
new shift lever seal (I have it for you). Runs great, shifts hard, very clean,
you can install as is. Includes flexplate, spreader ring, polished bellhousing
and neutral start switch assembly. I'm tired of moving it every time I want to
get out my Harley.
Sorry, will not ship.
Located in Bethpage, LI, NY

Best Wishes,
Steve Sweeney

Good morning,

I might be interested in the tranny. I have a '66 convertable that was
originally an auto-C4 as I was told. Like you the owner converted it to a 4
sp. My question is will it fit the '66-289??? I would like to have the
"original" mix available as prescribed by the code, but will live and enjoy
the 4sp. Hope to hear from you. Wayne

Hi Wayne,
As far as I know it should be no problem. All 65-73 289-302 motors use the
same flexplate according to the parts catalogs I have. Maybe someone on the
list can help better answer your question.
Where are you located?

Best Wishes,
Steve Sweeney
