By no means am I dissing the mans car and correct me if I'm wrong, but I
think $6500 is a little much. I paid $6900 for my 70 Mach1 351c. And
by the way you described this car, mine is in much better shape. Mine
needs a little rear 1/4 work, some interior work, and a new coat of
paint down the road. It has newer paint on it now, but it was a crappy
job. So I'm think either he's asking too much, or I got a hellofa deal
on mine. Again, correct me if I'm wrong. I dont' want to rub anyone
the wrong way.

The 390 was kind of a rarity for a Mach 1, most people that could afford
the extra expense of a big block, opted for the 428 CJ. Considering most
original BB Mustangs are considered desirable, that would dictate a higher
price. Of course condition and current market value always dictate fair
market value, and yes $6,500 does seem a little steep, but w/o actually
seeing the car, it's impossible to put a dollar value on it.
