Does anyone know why I am having such a hard time finding a flywheel for my
Mustang? My '66 Mustang has a 289 with a C4 automatic. The part number for
the flywheel is C4AE-6375-B. Will a different flywheel work? Maybe with a
different starter?

You should not have any problem getting a new one. They are called a flex
plate when used on an automatic, btw.

Try Ford or a Mustang vendor.
