Does anyone have details on the differences of the 351 Cleveland/FMX
flexplate and a late model (95 and up) AOD flexplate?
Diameter
Tooth count
Bolt pattern measurements - for the converter
Counter weight - weight
TIA

They should be the same with one possible exception.
Both are 164 tooth.
Both are 28oz/in imbalance, assuming that the AOD flexplate came from a
351-W. If it is from a 302, the balance is 50oz/in.
The converter bolt pattern is 4 on 11 7/16" circle for the fmx, and will be
on a 351 AOD flexplate, can't say if it is on a 302, but I think it is the
same.
The exception: The offset may be different. I used an fmx flexplate with
my small block C-6. I had to put shims between the converter (.200) and
flexplate in order for the converter to seat properly in the trans pump.
The same might apply here. Don't know.
