My son's 66 Mustang that he wrecked last year is FINALLY back on the road. We
still have some work to do, but she's looking sweet!
We've set up a website here: www.ProjectLazzarus.Shutterfly.com
<projectlazzarus.shutterfly.com/> with all the pictures from start
to finish.
My son will be using her for his daily driver, and showing her at the local
shows. She's also going to be a bit of a "test mule" for his WWW.RPMustang.com
<rpmustang.com/> web store.
He'll be installing many of his stores "custom" parts on her.

Thanks Dave,
I wish everyone could see it in person. The pictures don't even come close
to showing how good it looks.
The paint "almost" looks like they just sprayed metal flake on the car and
put a clear over it. I've never seen a paint job "sparkle" quite as much as
this one.
As far as the filter, oh it fits. not by much, but it fits.
I'm still working out the details of how I'm going to get that filter onto
the COLD side of the engine. Not much clearance between the fins on the
valve cover and the hood.
Also, note that this is NOT your typical log-head six. We put an aluminum
head on the old six 200 ci block. The intake & exhaust valves are much
larger than stock and it flows a LOT more air through so it can make use of
that larger filter.
Instead of the old asthmatic integral log intake, it has a separate bolt on
intake manifold. We put an autolite 2100 on top of the intake and the
engine needs every bit of it. The carb may even be a little small for this
setup if we decide to put in a performance cam.
I also have a nice set of headers and an Arvinode exhaust waiting to be
bolted on to allow it to exhale all that nice air it's pulling in.
Lance.

You put us V8 boys to shame with what you've done to that motor. Both innovative and impressive.

Thanks for the kind words Brandon,
Oh no, some of you V8 guys on this list put me to shame.
I'm just a rank amateur trying my best to be a little bit "different" from
the crowd.
At shows, the 6's are getting rare. And for some "strange" reason I sure
see a LOT of 8's with a T in the 5th digit of the vin!
There's all kinds of "custom" 8's at the shows, but I've never really seen a
custom 6 except for maybe a carb adapter on the log head and maybe a fancy
paint job.
This car will show that just because it's a 6, doesn't mean it can't be
customized.
It's hard to get noticed in a crowd of over 300 Mustangs at our local shows.
So we'll use the paint & body to "draw their attention" to the car.
Then we'll wow them when they see what she has under that hood.
