Hello all,

I am having a problem with my 65 coupe, I have the front end off and am
working on the restoration, I only pull it in and out of the garage, I
have the front lights disconnected. I have a power drain somewhere, I
thought that my battery was not charging, but I took it to sears and
they said it was ok. I hooked the bat back up and it started just fine,
I only let it run a few secs and turned it off. I went back out today, a
week later and it was so dead that it would not even click the starter,
I jumped it for a while and it still will not turn. Does anyone have any
ideas?

Thanks

Bob Corby

A lot of people seem to have this problem!!! Well, my experience was the
same. Drained 2-3 batteries (Napa was mystified, but gave me a new one each
time) I changed the solenoid, didn't fix it.I A mechanic (?) told me I
needed a complete new wiring system. (Gasp!) I asked my Dad (jack of all
trades) and he said just change the ignition switch. For 9.95 and a little
under the dash contortions, my 65 coupe starts every time.
Thanks Dad!
