Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone would know if a 70 automatic console could be
altered to work for a manual? Any help appreciated.

Nancy, I believe the only difference is the insert. You can usually pick
one up, but I believe the shifter boot will fit inside an automatic,
although it would not be correct, but not all that noticable either.

If it turns out that it can't, I'd be real keen to buy the auto console off
you, should it be for sale.
Cheers

Wal,
All '69/'70 Shelby consoles are basically
automatic consoles. The 4-speed insert on a
regular Mustang console has a smaller hole. So
you can run a 4-speed in an auto console, but not
the other way around.
