I'm looking for parts for my projects and am curious about the Columbus
and/or Carlisle swap meets. Columbus is closer and for that reason may
be preferable. It looks like Carlisle has both a "generic" spring show
April 20-24 and a Ford show June 3-5. Are any of these a good source
for reasonably priced parts? I'm looking mostly for body panels, trim
parts, and maybe some drivetrain related parts.

TIA,
Ben

I have not been to the Columbus shows but I have been to both the spring Carlisle and all fords show. The all fords show is hands down better for ford parts in general. More parts and less of the other stuff to weed through.

I picked up a low milage 8" rear complete with good breaks drums.... everything for my 6 cyl. for 150. Worked like a charm. I now now all 4 corners five lug. smiling smiley

Many body pany booths with a lot of OEM stuff. Good Luck!

Ben,
I live in PA, about 45mins or so from Carlisle,( I have a 69- Mach 1 and
may show it this year there) and hit them every year.
The spring show has lots of stuff, all makes/models, and everyone that
wants to clean out their garages and sheds.

The Ford show (1st weekend in June) is great. Lots of stuff and plenty
of walking. I suggest getting there on the first day, since the weekend
crowds are usually large, especially if the weather holds out (last few
years it has rained).

Don't know where you're coming from, but I would grab a room now, if you
plan on staying over as there is a large Custom Car Show in York, PA,
the same weekend.

Hello all,

I live up near Chicago, in Elgin, and I'm wondering if anyone has had any good experiences with swap meets or Ford shows up here? I think there's a Ford expo near the Route 66 raceway, but not sure where it ranks...

Thanks,
Abe
