Hi
Does anybody know where I can get a Clear Kote to spray on Mag wheels
which would protect against Brake dust or other road scum? I can't seem
to find it and it seems that someone said it is available.
Thanks

You can find clear coat at an art supply store, (spray) or at any auto paint supply store. Really tough to do.

I haven't tried it, but check out por15's Pelucid.
por15.com/primer_topcoat_clearcoat.html then let me know how well
it works :-)
I have used the regular paint and I love it. Im going to use that stuff for
the bottom, cowl, and engine compartment of my 70.

The Eastwood Company www.eastwoodcompany.com used to sell some stuff called
Nyalic which was a satin-finish clearcoat. I've used it on gobs of things
(including Torque Thrust aluminum wheels) and it works really well. However,
as it warns on the can, any paint already on the wheels must be fully cured
before you spray on the Nyalic (ask me how I know!).
I see in a recent catalog, they also have a product called Diamond Clear
which is a clear glossy-finish product in a spray can. $7.99 .
Hope this helps,
