Dave,

There is a seperate rear harness for the tail lights, brake lights and backup
lights that also includes the lead for the fuel sending unit.

I also have some "funky" things that happen with my rear lights. The left
side light is only about half as bright as the right, and when I put my
headlights on it goes out.

I am convinced that it is a ground problem and plan to chace it down with a
test light this weekend.

I also need to replace my fuel sending unit. I have the new one but would
appreciate some pointers on how to remove the locking ring etx. I am
concerned becuase the steel fuel line and the connecting rubber hose section
seem very clost to the exhaust system. Is this normal

Jim,
The June 1991 issue of Mustang Monthly covers "How to replace a Fuel Gauge
Sending Unit". If you have trouble finding this, e-mail me directly and I
can send or fax you a copy.
