Jeanne,
I would advise against this. The current gasket materials will seal
perfectly and I have experienced situations where the silicone sealant that
squeezes out inside the housing breaks loose and clogs up the radiator,
overheating the motor.

Brad, there are many, many lurkers out here that learn a great deal just by
reading the questions and answers here. Not all of them have the level of
knowledge or understanding you do of so many Mustang models. Public answers
are the best thing that the list has to offer. Please leave the list alone,
it's fine as it is.
